Wayne is one of the more flamboyant characters in the Red Park squad. His colourful lifestyle has landed him on the front pages at least as often as he appears on the back ones. However, there can be no doubting his value to the side as a thinking player that can unlock opposition defences with craft and guile. This, together with his lethal accuracy and delivery from dead-ball situations has made the Griffins' Number 8 one of the country's most sought-after players.

Having built his career at the club over several years he now finds himself as Captain, a role he took from former close friend and midfield partner, Joe Rock. With the captaincy of the team came great responsibility and proving himself in this role seems to have had a calming effect on his personal life. Usually knee-deep in women-trouble of one kind or another, Wayne now appears convinced that current girlfriend, Sharmaine Jackson, is ‘the one’ for him. How long can he suppress his desires and/or his scandalous past? Only time will tell.
